Abeja Reina means ‘Queen Bee’ in Spanish, and is a type of rum sour created by David Cordoba in 2005. Acacia is recommended for this simple drink because it mixes easily with vanilla syrup and won’t overpower the BACARDÍ GOLD rum or the lemon juice.
2 parts BACARDÍ Gold rum
1 part acacia honey & vanilla syrup
1 part freshly squeezed lemon juice
Pour the BACARDÍ GOLD rum, acacia honey & vanilla syrup, and lemon juice into a cocktail shaker and add some ice cubes. Then give it all a quick and vigorous shake. Fine strain the mix into a glass filled with cubed ice.
